NEW DELHI: More than 50 per cent of the 2,000 constables recruited by the Delhi police this year are either post-graduates or graduates.

Announcing the results of recruitment on Tuesday, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Armed Police), Deepak Mishra, said 63 of the 2,000 constables were post-graduates, while another 943 were graduates.

The recruitment process had been initiated in June this year. More than 2 lakh forms were sold. After scrutiny of the application forms, 1,54,200 were found genuine and eligible. These candidates were put through a physical endurance test after which 43,290 qualified for the written examination. Of these, 4,115 were selected for personal interview and personality tests which was completed in November.

The results have been displayed at various Delhi police premises, including all district headquarters. The results are also available on the Delhi police website: www.delhipolice.nic.in
