NEW DELHI: More than 50 per cent of the 2,000 constables recruited by the Delhi police this year are either post-graduates or graduates. Announcing the results of recruitment on Tuesday, the Joint Commissioner of Police (Armed Police), Deepak Mishra, said 63 of the 2,000 constables were post-graduates, while another 943 were graduates. The recruitment process had been initiated in June this year. More than 2 lakh forms were sold. After scrutiny of the application forms, 1,54,200 were found genuine and eligible. These candidates were put through a physical endurance test after which 43,290 qualified for the written examination.
