Rajasthan MLA's driver arrested with illicit liquor

KHATIMA (Uttaranchal) DEC 13: The driver of a Rajasthan MLA was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly carrying illicit liquor in Pantnagar area of Udhamsingh Nagar district, police said.

Kaju, a resident of Jaiti village in Jodhpur, was held with 34 bottles of illegal liquor in Almora district he was allegedly carrying to the farmhouse of Narendra Singh Bhati, an MLA from Osia constituency in Jodhpur district, Superintendent of Police, Udhamsingh Nagar, Amit Sinha, said.

Kaju claimed that Bhati is scheduled to visit his farmhouse to celebrate new year along with his friends and he was carrying liquor for that function, police said. -PTI
