THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Road Transportation Corporation (KSRTC) Pensioners' Organisation plans to take out rallies and stage dharna in front of transport offices in the State on Thursday in protest against the alleged injustice meted out to them. In Thiruvananthapuram, MP Pannyan Raveendran will inaugurate the dharna at Transport Bhavan at 10 a.m. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Susai Antony, president, said the pensioners had not received the DA and DR that the Kerala Government had disbursed to public sector pensioners from July 1999 onwards. He said KSRTC pensioners get only 37 per cent of DA while it is 71 per cent and 64 per cent respectively for Centre and State owned public sector pensioners. The 17,000-strong organisation is yet to get recognition.
