Alleged bribery: Manmohan feels sad

Diplomatic Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Wednesday that he could only express his sadness like Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Rajya Sabha Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at the alleged acceptance of bribes by 11 Members of Parliament for raising questions in Parliament.

Asked what kind of action he contemplated against them, he said it was up to Parliament to decide.

Asked about the BJP's demand for registering a first information report (FIR) on the oil-for-food scam, he said the matter should be discussed in Parliament.
