Campaign on energy conservation

TIRUCHI: N. Kaliappan, Chief Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Tiruchi, flagged off a mobile campaign on energy conservation at the TNEB office here on Wednesday to mark the inaugural of the observance of the `Energy Conservation Week.'

The vehicle would halt at various places in the city and create awareness of energy conservation among the masses.

Fundamental tips like use of 36 watts tube-lights instead of 40 watts, fitting `energy saver' equipment would be given to the public through public address system.

Executive Engineers including B. Rajamohan, Sugavanam, Kalaivanan, Ponnusamy and Venkataraman were present.
