Even to a person far removed from the world of trade like me, the negotiations at the sixth WTO ministerial conference in Hong Kong are shocking. The conference has highlighted the play of the haves against the have-nots. If, in a world forum, the discrimination is so blunt, how can the underprivileged, undernourished, and underdeveloped countries survive?
