Vehicles seized from candidates

Belgaum: The authorities appointed by the State Election Commission have seized 22 vehicles hired by the Congress and Janata Dal(S) candidates for not obtaining permission from the Returning Officer in Saundatti, Bailhongal, Ramdurg and Gokak taluks, since Wednesday. According to District Observer (Poll Expenditure) S. Puttaswamy, three vehicles were seized in Saundatti and eight belonging to the Congress and the Janata Dal(S) candidates were seized in Bailhongal taluk. On Thursday, 12 vehicles were seized.
