Minister warns Congress rebels in Belgaum

HUBLI: S.R. Morey, Minister for Municipal Administration and Member of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Campaign and Coordination Committee, Belgaum Division, has issued a warning to rebel candidates of the party in the district. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Mr. Morey said rebel candidates of the party have been asked to retire from the fray.

In case the rebel candidates failed to do so and contest in the zilla and taluk panchayat elections, they will be expelled from the party, he said. In seven constituencies, the Congress candidates have to face competition from their own partymen because of rebellion.
