Washington: United States President George W. Bush has accepted responsibility for going to war in Iraq over ``faulty intelligence'' but strongly defended his decision to oust Saddam Hussein, terming him a ``threat'' to the world's security. ``When we made the decision to go into Iraq, many intelligence agencies around the world judged that Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction... it is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong. As President, I'm responsible for the decision to go into Iraq,'' Mr Bush said. However, he said his decision to remove Mr. Hussein was a ``right one''. ``My decision to remove Saddam Hussein was right. Saddam was a threat and the American people and the world is better off because he is no longer in power,'' he said. UNI
