HYDERABAD : Left-arm spinner Gourav Jatkar's six for 28 helped Mumbai skittle out Karnataka for146 on the first day of the three-day quarterfinals in the All India Polly Umrigar Trophy (under-15) cricket tournament at the Gymkhana grounds here on Thursday. In reply, Mumbai was 22 for no loss at close. In another quarterfinal at NFC, Mohit Mohindra (118, 9x4) stole the show in Punjab's 254 for six against Jharkhand. The day's second century came from Mritunjoy Yadav (140 batting, 16x4, 1x6) for Uttar Pradesh, which finished at 334 for six in 93 overs against Bengal at ECIL Grounds. The scores: At Gymkhana: Karnataka 146 (Chiranjeevi 48, Gourav Jatkar six for 28) vs Mumbai 22 for no loss in eight overs. At NFC: Punjab 254 for six (Mohit Mohindra 118, Ankit Koushik 51 batting, Mandeep Singh 32, Ravi Shankar three for 54) vs Jharkhand. At ECIL: Uttar Pradesh 334 for six (Mritunjoy Yadav 140 batting, Aman Litt 47, Kishey Sharma 90 batting) vs Bengal. At AOC: Gujarat 113 (Avi Barot 33, S.K.M. Basha four for 16, Rishi Chowdhary three for 19) vs Andhra 95 for seven in 46 overs (Vamsi Krishna 40, Vijay Gadhavi four for 33).
