Court calls for reports
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice B. Padmaraj and Justice V. Jagannathan on Thursday directed the State Government to place before it in 10 days a detailed report on the K. Jagannatha Shetty Commission and Ramachandraiah Commission of inquiries.
The Bench passed the order on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition filed by Govind Jattappa Naik and Rajesh, both from Bhatkal of Uttara Kannada district. The petitioners had sought a direction to the Government to place the reports of both the inquiry commissions before the Legislative Assembly and also state its course of action based on the reports.
