Manugistics to invest $75 m in India

  • To increase head count from 162 to 200
  • Plans a 24x7 support model
  • Several low cost airlines are in active consultation

    HYDERABAD: Manugistics Group Inc., a leading global provider of synchronised supply chain and revenue management solutions, has announced aggressive expansion plans for its Indian operations.

    The company, which has set up India operations facility at Hyderabad a year ago, plans to invest $75 million in its Indian development centre and plans to increase the headcount from 162 to 200 by early next year.

    In the long run, Manugistics India would have manpower in excess of 300.

    The Chief Executive Officer, Joe Cowan, was here to launch the company's new state-of-the-art solution development centre here on Thursday. The new facility will be responsible for full life cycle product development of supply chain management, logistics and revenue management solutions.

    To meet the ever-increasing demand for supply chain management solutions, the company was planning a 24x7 support model from the Hyderabad facility.
