NEW DELHI: Accusing the Delhi Government of overlooking the interests of the people of Delhi and selling them out to multinational and private companies, the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday said completion of the seventh year in office by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was marked by mis-governance, stalling of development works and resentment among the public at large. Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan said a serious power and water crisis was staring the people of Delhi in the face, the condition of roads and sanitation had gone from bad to worse, and the law and order situation had taken a turn for the worse. What's more, even the much acclaimed and publicised Bhagidari scheme had come to a standstill with the bhagidars coming out on the streets against the Delhi Government. "The people of Delhi are waiting for the right moment to express their anger. They will oust the Congress-led administration in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. If the Delhi Assembly is dissolved at this moment and elections are held again, the Congress would be ousted from power,'' he added. Dr. Vardhan said at present the High Court was discharging the functions of the Government because there was nothing like Government in Delhi.
