CHENNAI:
Forty years after they had bid farewell to their alma mater, former students of St. Aloysius Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School at Vepery, came together for a fond reunion last month.
Eighteen students from the batch of 1965 came from different parts of the world to the school on General Collins Road in Vepery.
Two teachers who taught the batch and the then headmistress Sr. Clare were also present.
The mood was nostalgic with the alumnae sitting in the same class, and the same desks where they spent the youthful days, as the women sat exchanging thoughts about their student days.
"We still remember the values that our devoted and loving teachers taught us," said alumnus Zahida Mahmood, who is now a teacher.
