THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Rubber Cooperative Limited (Rubco) is launching a new series of branded home furniture to diversify its product range and offer better choice for customers. Rubco chairman E. Narayanan and managing director Jacob D. Mathew told reporters here on Monday that the new initiative named `Rubco Home Series' was designed to provide world-class home décor solutions at affordable cost. They said the series would be available as seven different packages for the living-cum-dining room, bedroom, kids room, guest room, home office and kitchen as well as three full house combinations. The series was priced from Rs.30,000 to Rs.1 lakh. Individual units would also be sold. Mr. Narayanan said the Home Series was expected to net Rs.100 crores for Rubco over the next six months. Plans were afoot to launch a luxury package costing Rs.3 lakhs by January 2006. He said Rubco was offering advance booking and attractive loan and instalment schemes for the new furniture package. Customers could avail of a coupon scheme with gifts, including free air tickets to Singapore and Lakshadweep, holiday package to Munnar, Rubco mattress and sports cycle, he said. Mr. Narayanan said Minister for Cooperation M. V. Raghavan would inaugurate the new range at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium auditorium here on Tuesday.
