Workshop on biotechnology

Kakinada: The V S Lakshmi Women's Degree and PG College here will be organising `IV BIOFEST', a workshop on the scope of Biotechnology for three days commencing from December 21 at the college campus, according to V Sandhya, Principal, here on Monday.

She said that the workshop deals with Basic Biotechnology on the inaugural day and RDNA technology, Industrial, Medical and Environment Biology on the second day and the students would present papers on Bioremediation on the final day. She said that the workshops conducted by the college every year were receiving tremendous response.

This year also, she said, degree students from various colleges under the jurisdiction of Andhra and Nagarjuna Universities would be attending in large numbers. The inaugural function will be attended by Prof G Seshagirirao, Department of Biochemistry, Andhra University as the chief guest, she added.
