Kakinada: The Computer Society of India and the Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (CSI-KIET) will jointly organise the four-day National level technical fiesta `Concours 2006' with the theme `Engineering and IT for rural development' from January 27 to 30 here. The students themselves are organising it with the guidance of faculty members. The motto was to amalgamate the innovative thoughts of the young with the experienced brains on various latest techno trends that also help to build up academic liaison with the industry.
Rare opportunity
Student's leader Abhishek and placement coordinator Ramakrishna told a press conference here on Monday that the event would provide a rare opportunity to students from rural colleges for exchanging their ideas with counterparts from urban areas. The fiesta includes technical talks from renowned professors like Prof C S Muthu Krishnan, former Deputy Director IITM, Dr Mandal Sundar IIT Madras,Dr MB Srinivas IIIT Hyderabad, besides Dr M N Vahia, Chairman, Department of Astronomy TIFR, Mumbai.
