Bangalore: From December-end all through January, flight schedules get affected due to ground fog, especially in the northern and eastern sectors and on several days in Bangalore.
Delays
Many air passengers who need to catch connecting flights, say from Delhi, get worried whether a delay in Bangalore will mean missing the flight at that end. There is nothing much to be done if you are already on board a delayed flight. Understanding such anxieties of business travellers, Kingfisher Airlines has announced a new service to take the guesswork out of passengers' minds and keep them updated about timings of other flights even when they are on board one of the airline's flights.
Latest information
This service, called "King Mobile", enables a passenger to get the latest information on his or her mobile phone by using an SMS function. Kingfisher Airlines, which prefers to call its passengers "guests", says they can have information about schedules, flight status with any delays and "guest assistance" numbers at various airports connected by it through SMS alerts. To know more about this service, all a guest needs to do is to key in "King" and send an SMS to 6388 to get a "Menu" explaining how to use each of the information services.
