Kisan card from HDFC Bank

CHENNAI: HDFC Bank in association with Visa International, has launched Kisan card. Available in Punjab and Haryana and its ambit, to start with, the card will be launched in phases across the country by March 2006. According to a release, the Kisan card is aimed at meeting the production and investment needs of farmers, such as purchase of agriculture-related equipment implements, irrigation requirements, construction of farm-related buildings, investment in allied activities.
