Final USFDA nod for Orchid's Cefprozil tablets

CHENNAI: Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday announced that it has received formal approval from the USFDA for its ANDA (Abbreviated New Drug Application) for Cefprozil Tablets USP, 250 mg and 500 mg. Orchid will launch the product exclusively through Par Pharmaceuticals immediately upon the expiry of the patent on December 23, K. Raghavendra Rao, Managing Director, Orchid Chemicals, said. This is the eighth cephalosporin ANDA approval that Orchid has received.
