Posts of paramedical staff will be filled, says Minister

Proposal sent to the KPSC seeking direct appointment of over 500 doctors

BANGALORE: Health and Family Welfare Minister N. Cheluvaraya Swamy has said that the Government will fill 80 per cent of the vacant posts of paramedical personnel, including 1,300 posts of nurses, by April 2006.

He was inaugurating a workshop on the conduct of a survey on incidence of measles in the State organised by the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, in association with the WHO. A proposal has been sent to the KPSC on direct appointment of doctors, he said.
