Raichur: Seven people were killed and eight injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a lorry on National Highway 13 near K. Budur Tanda in Kustagi taluk of Koppal district on Tuesday. The police said the vehicle was carrying 15 people to Kudalasangama in Bijapur district from Kalmangi village of Sindhanur taluk in Raichur district. The accident occurred at a curve near Budur Tanda. The police named the dead as Venkatesh Sajja, 22, driver of the vehicle, Ravi Police Patil, 21, Basavaraj Police Patil, 20, Mahesh Kumar, 22, Yusuf, 20, Amaregouda, 20, and Ramangouda, 22, who died while being taken to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli. The injured have been admitted to the Government Civil Hospital in Kustagi. The Kustagi police have registered a case.
