DWCRA bazaar registers good sales

HYDERABAD: Some 45,000 people visited the Regional Saras/DWACRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) Bazaar 2005 being held at Peoples' Plaza where 600 SHG women from different States put up an exhibition -sum-sale of products developed by them.

Since the exhibition began from December 15, products worth Rs. 45 lakhs have been sold, with handicrafts, handlooms, readymade garments, embroidery saris, Andhra pickles turning out to be the most preferred items.

Andhra Bank has arranged an extension counter to enable participants' deposit their collections for safe custody and also arranged for credit card facilities for the customers.

The sale jointly organised by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and Department of Rural Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh is on till December 26.
