Indefinite fast enters second day
|
HYDERABAD:
The indefinite fast by Master Service Operators Welfare Association and cable operators demanding the withdrawal of the Sun Television Network's decision to turn Aditya and Teja television into pay channels entered the second day here on Tuesday. As a part of the agitation, the association also blacked out both the channels for the past few days.
In a statement, MSOs Welfare Association president Ch. Rajasekhar sought to know why Sun Network was making Gemini and Teja pay channels when it was giving its other channels in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala free of cost. He said the operators were already paying Rs. 5 crores to Sun Network and wondered why it was forcing them cough up more.
