Cash bag taken away

BANGALORE: A youth made away with a bag containing Rs. 7 lakhs in cash from a jeep after diverting the attention of a businessman in Jayanagar police station limits on Tuesday. The police said that around 7 p.m. Vishwanath, a resident of Basavanagudi, parked his jeep near a hotel in 4th Block, Jayanagar. While he was in the vehicle, a youth accosted him and told Vishwanath that he (Vishwanath) had inadvertently dropped a Rs. 10 note. When Vishwanath got off the vehicle to pick the note, the youth made away with the bag containing the cash, the police said. A case has been registered.
