A treat to the ears

This refers to the write-up, `Tunes from the past, (Dec. 20). I remain an avid fan of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. As Radio Ceylon, it catered to a vast population in the subcontinent, bringing to listeners rare and beautiful songs in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu from the past. Few radio stations can claim to possess the collection Radio Ceylon did. The compering, particularly of the popular Binaca Geetmala, was a treat to the ears.
