Security personnel killed

IMPHAL: One Assam Rifles personnel was killed and two others were wounded during a raid by the security forces on a Kuki Liberation Army camp at Sanjang in Manipur's Tamenglong district on Tuesday, official sources said. The militants exploded two landmines, in which the security personnel was killed.

A woman cadre, Kim Khochoi, was nabbed and equipment, including a laptop and a fax machine, were seized. At Makhom in the district, terrified villagers fled their houses after the Naga outfits, National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak Muivah) and NSCN (Khaplang), exchanged heavy fire. One civilian was killed and another wounded when they trod on a landmine at Thanlon in Churachandpur district on Tuesday night.
