CHENNAI: "Taxation for growth" will be the theme of the two-day 13th national conference on taxation, beginning here on December 24.

The programme has been organised by the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP), South Zone, Chennai, in association with the Revenue Bar Association, Society of Auditors, Indirect Taxes Bar Association, Chartered Accountants Study Circle and the Association of Chartered Accountants. The convention chairman, K.J. Chandran, told presspersons here on Tuesday that the conference would discuss issues affecting taxation in the context of economic growth within the country and globalisation of trade, industry and profession.
