Pondicherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Tuesday distributed prizes to the managements of art organisations for best displays at the art festival organised by the Department of Art and Culture and the South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur, here recently. Apart from artists displaying their paintings at the festival, demonstrations were held on art and painting techniques. The Arikamedu Art Akademy won the first prize and former students of the Bharathiar Palakalaikoodam got second prize. The Art and Culture Service Movement got third prize.
