CHENNAI:
The contribution of Tamils to the cause of freedom struggle, particularly in the campaigns of the Indian National Army, was recalled by Anita Bose Pfaff, daughter of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, at a reception here on Wednesday.
Noting that the Tamils formed a large chunk of the strength of the INA, Prof. Pfaff, who is a professor of economics and has settled down in Germany, said it was always a moving experience for her to interact with the INA members, especially with those from Tamil Nadu.
K. Gurumurthy, general secretary of the State committee of All India Freedom Fighters' and their Successors Organisation, which organised the reception, explained how Netaji strove for the cause.
Earlier, Prof. Pfaff went to Red Hills and spoke to students of a school run by an association of INA members.
