ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and India on Wednesday formalised agreements for two more bus routes connecting Amritsar with Nankana Sahib and Lahore. They were inked at the third round of the technical-level talks between officials of the two sides at Lahore. The two-day talks were led by Saroj Kumar Dash, Joint Secretary (Transport), Department of Road Transport and Highways, from the Indian side and Mohammad Abbas, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Communication, from the Pakistani side. The trial run for Amritsar-Nankana Sahib service would take place on January 27 and from Nankana Sahib (birthplace of Guru Nanak in Pakistan's Punjab) on January 29. A joint statement issued at the end of the talks said that regular operation of the bus service would commence within a month from the trial run. The one-way fare would be Pakistani Rs. 1,200 and Indian Rs. 1,000.
