CavinKare launching liquid cleaner

CHENNAI: CavinKare will be launching its first washroom hygiene product this month in Tamil Nadu. Tex, a toilet cleaning liquid, has been priced to compete with the unbranded market of phenyls, acids and bleaches, K.S. Ramesh, Executive Director - CEO, CavinKare, told a press conference here on Tuesday.

The branded toilet cleaning products market is growing at 31 per cent annually, with liquid toilet cleaning products dominating it. A primarily urban product, the potential market for it is projected to grow at 35 per cent. Tex will be made available in 20 ml sachets at Rs.2 and 100 ml and 500 ml bottles at Rs. 10 and Rs. 48. The company plans to distribute the product, developed with in-house research, across 40,000 outlets in the State. Tamil Nadu has been chosen for first phase rollout of the product.

The sachets and 100 ml bottles are firsts of a sort in the segment.
