Bhojpuri film star Krishna
Bhojpuri -- the increasingly popular language of hit movies -- has moved from bringing in the numbers to the last surviving single screen halls in the Capital to now making waves in the music world. Not just about spicy songs, Bhojpuri has finally joined the pop music club with albums only for teens. Hoping to cater to the huge market of young people wanting to hear their kind of music in their language, Jay Jay Associates, who had earlier brought out "Utkarsh'', a popular religious album that was shown on Sadhana TV, has now brought out "Sunayna''. This album has been composed by the well-known music director Ashok "Baboo", who always manages to get people to dance to his tunes. Determined not to be left out of the whole music-video way of marketing albums, "Sunayna'' is learning from the gimmicks of the Hindi music industry and the first video of the album will be released soon. The star of Bhojpuri films, Krishna, will feature in the video. Apart from being one of the best known Bhojpuri heroes of the times, Krishna has other "filmi" claims to his name and is the nephew of "Virar ka chhokra" Govinda. "Sunayna'' has been written by Surrinder Sharma. A peppy album of modern pop songs, it has the voice of super singer "Tarun Toofani''. It also features up-and-coming singer Mahadev Singh.
