KOLKATA: The combination from Remount Training School and Depot, Hempur, proved best as Nb/Ris. Bhagirath rode Guddu for the gold in the show jumping medium grade event that was the last show of the National Equestrian Championship here at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club on Thursday. The two-round event for the medium grade horses saw an intense competition for the top spot as Bhagirath and Guddu found a match in RVC-Meerut's Nb/Ris Sunil Kumar, who showed good skills astride Galib. Both the combinations performed flawlessly in the stipulated two rounds and were tied on zero penalties. The results: Show jumping medium grade: 1. Nb/Ris. Bhagirath (RTS&D, Hempur) on Guddu, 2. Nb/Ris. Sunil Kumar (RVC, Meerut) on Galib, 3. Dfr. Shivaji Poonia (RTS&D, Hempur) on Moon Flower and Dfr. Ravinder Singh (PBG, Delhi) on Tara. Sports Reporter
