HYDERABAD: Maisram Playground posted a 5-0 win over Amberpet in the MCH annual open seven-a-side football tournament here on Thursday. At half-time the winner led 3-0. Waleed's brace and a goal each by Mohammad Sr. and Mohammad Jr. set up the Maisram win. In another match, Friends United Club beat Vijay Nagar Sporting 4-2, after leading 2-0 at the break. Robin, Jaweed, Nizam and Hasan Ali netted for the winner, while Umar and Mustafa reduced the margin.
Festival cricket match
The recently formed Hyderabad Corporate Cricket Association will host a festival cricket match at the Niraj School of Hotel Management cricket grounds, Kompalli on December 25 between Retrievers XI and Free Looters XI, named after two Moin-ud-Dowla sides of the thirties. The following are the association's office-bearers: President: B. Ramender Reddy; Vice-President: P.R. Man Singh; Secretary: R. Jivitesh Reddy; Joint Secretary: Ajmal Asad; Treasurer: Vikram Man Singh.
Symonds Blues in semifinals
At Visakhapatnam, Symond Blues beat Colts CC by three wickets and entered the semifinals of the 20th D. Sekhar Rao memorial cricket tournament here on Thursday. Friday's semifinals: Hindustan Shipyard RC vs Cavaliers CC and Symond Blues vs Kendriya Vidyalaya CC at HS Degree College ground. The scores: Colts CC 143 for seven in 30 overs lost to Symond Blues 146 for seven in 25 overs (M. Kurma Rao 46, D. Vinay Kumar five for 30). Kendriya Vidyalaya CC 151 for nine in 30 overs bt Gayatri CC 136 for nine in 30 overs.
Chess coaching camps

Selection trials
Trials to select the district sub-junior athletic boys and girls teams (under-10, 12 and 14 as on February 10, 2006) will be held at the Police Stadium, Visakhapatnam, from 9 a.m. on December 25. The selected teams will represent the district in the inter-district sub-junior championships to be held at Tadepalligudem on January 7 and 8, 2006. Boys and girls attending the trials have to produce age-proof certificate.
Football trials
Trials to select the Andhra Pradesh State girls (under-19) football team will be held at Vijayawada from December 26 to 28. The selected team would participate in the nationals to be held at Rourkela, Orissa from January 8. Players born on or before January 1, 1986 shall be eligible to participate.
