NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has withdrawn provisional affiliation granted to Punjab Association's Adarsh Senior Secondary School at Malony Road in T. Nagar, Chennai, thereby disaffiliating the school.

A statement by the CBSE here, however, said that keeping in view the interests of the school's Class X and XII students, the Board has decided to make a concession by allowing the students to appear in the Board examination to be held in March 2006.

Since the school will not be allowed to take the CBSE Board examinations from 2007, the CBSE has advised parents and guardians to check the status of the school before admitting their children.
