Expose on alleged passport scam
New Delhi
: In yet another television expose, a news channel on Thursday said that two MPs of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) from Uttar Pradesh had allegedly procured new passports byclaiming that they have lost the originals.
The CNN- IBN channel alleged that Ramakant Yadav, MP from Azamgarh, and Bal Chandra Yadav, who represents Khalilabad, had filed false statements at a police station here claiming that they have lost their passports.
Their passports were awaiting visa clearance at the Canadian High Commission since October 2003, it said. PTI
