Villagers fear loss of land

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD : People of three villages under the Tukkuguda gram panchayat, who are likely to be affected by the proposed new alignment of Outer Ring Road (ORR), have appealed to the Chief Minister for an alternative to protect the villages.

In a representation to the Chief Minister on Thursday, sarpanch Kallem Krishnaiah Goud and villagers of Imamguda, Srinagar and Jaffarguda said that because of the ORR alignment passing through their villages, they were set to lose their small pieces of land and houses.

The three villages located along the Srisailam State Highway could be protected if the alignment was altered to pass through the southern side of the villages.
