Court hears arguments on Polavaram

HYDERABAD : Arguments in a batch of writ petitions filed challenging the Polavaram irrigation project began on Thursday before a Division Bench of the High Court.

Andhra Pradesh Girijana Sangham, Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika, Samatha and Farmers Organisations of West Godvari and Krishna had filed writ petitions challenging the project on various grounds.

On Thursday, senior advocate appearing for Andhra Pradesh Girijana Sangham appeared before the Bench.
