Destitute woman rescued

KOCHI: A destitute woman and her one-year-old child were rescued on Thursday by volunteers of Janaseva Sisiubhavan from Kaloor bus stand. They were admitted to the General Hospital. Representatives of Janaseva Sisubhavan reached the spot on receiving information that Lakshmi, and her child Nagamalli were seeking alms. The woman's husband Gopal Naidu had deserted her.
