KOCHI: The city police will organise an interactive session at CMFRI Hall on December 30 to set the agenda for 2006. The session is named `Sanamanasullavarkku Samadhanam 2006' (Peace to those of goodwill), says K. Padmakumar, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Ernakulam Range. "This is the next phase in community policing. We are inviting suggestions from all concerned, such as residents associations, trade unions for motor employees, heads of educational institutions and the media, to decide on the agenda for the next year," Mr. Padmakumar said. After the inaugural session, there will be sessions on issues related to traffic, crime, narcotic offences and atrocities against women and children. This is the first time that such an interaction is being held between the police and the public.
