Power shutdown

BESCOM has said that there will be disruption in power supply in some areas between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday. Those affected will be Pai Layout, Rahathbagh, part of Nagavarapalya, Benniganahalli, KISIDC Industrial Area, B.C Industrial Area, Vijinapura, part of Udayanagar and surrounding areas.

There will also be no power supply from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in J.C Industrial Area, Srinivasa Industrial Area, Govardhana Garden, Nanjappa Layout, Kashinagara, Bikasipura and Metro.

Disconnection drive

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd., additional East Division, ES Sub-division, will conduct a mass disconnection drive on Nagawara Main Road, Byaranakunte, Govindapura, Thanisandra, Ramakrishna Hegde Nagar, Umar Nagar and surrounding areas on Saturday.

Painting competition

The Chitrakala Academy, Bangalore, will conduct a spot painting competition for children from Class I to Class X. All the winners will get prizes and certificates. For details, call 26670093.

Ayurveda camp

Vijayanagaram Ayurved Bhandar and Charak Pharma will conduct a free asthma and allergy camp on Sunday. The camp will be held at Kalabyraveshwara Ayurvedic Medical College between 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. For details, call 23108718 / 22238317.
