NEW DELHI: The Commissioner of Railway Safety, Bhupinder Singh, on Thursday completed inspection of the new Barakhamba-Dwarka section of Line III of Delhi Metro. He is now expected to submit the report in a couple of days which would ultimately pave the way for inauguration of this line which would serve lakhs of commuters in Central, West and South-West Delhi. The Commissioner, who had also inspected the section in November and had started his final inspection on Wednesday, spent almost the entire day on the Metro system on Thursday. He undertook the routine motor trolley inspection of the tracks and conducted a detailed inspection of the rolling stock, electrical, signalling, communication, and overhead electric systems and their interface.
Mr Singh also conducted an in-depth inspection of the passenger facilities and the safety measures which had been put in place. Accompanied by Director (Project and Planning) C.B.K. Rao and Director (Rolling Stock and Electrical) Satish Kumar, he also performed several simulations to learn how the
