Live band allowed
A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice Ganpath Singh Singhvi and Justice R. Subash Reddy on Friday directed the police not to interfere with the bar and restaurants using live band and light music. The bench directed the Commissioner of Police to allow the bar and restaurants to carry on their activities in accordance with their licence. The bench passed the orders in a batch of writ appeals filed by Chandana Bar and other bars in the city complaining that the Commissioner of Police was not passing any orders on renewal of amusement licence. The bench directed the official to pass orders within two weeks.
