Tsunami victims plan rally

KOCHI: The Janakeeya Samara Samithi, Kandakadavu, will organise a protest rally and public meeting to raise the people's voice against the Government's indifference towards the people affected by the tsunami at Kandakadavu and Maruvakkad in Chellanam. According to a samithi statement, no relief measures came the way of people here. It will be a silent rally starting from Chalakadavu at 11 a.m. — Staff Reporter

CA students' meet

KOCHI: The regional conference of Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will held here on December 27 and 28. The annual meeting will be opened by the Meghalaya Governor M.M. Jacob. About 1,000 students are expected to attend the meet. — Special Correspondent

Foundation laid

KOCHI: Foundation stone was laid for building houses for 29 families who had lost their houses in the cyclonic storm that had hit the coastal villages of Vypeen. The scheme to construct the houses with people's participation was organised by Carithas India. — Staff Reporter
