M Anjaiah
WARANGAL: Here is a really inspiring story. A person who has been eking out a living working as a scooter mechanic found time for his love - studies. Mothukuri Anjaiah, born into an agricultural labour family in remote Rampur village in Dharmasagar mandal realised his dream of securing a Ph D. Interesting part is that not one but he earned two Ph D degrees. Anjaiah discontinued his studies after SSC due to financial problems and joined a mechanic shed to support his mother. However, his zeal to study and encouragement from friends and academics of Kakatiya University helped him complete his intermediate and degree from an evening college.
Qualifies in NET
Mr. Anjaiah completed his MA (Political Science) and PhD and joined as a daily wage worker in School of Distance Learning & Continuing Education (SDLCE). Having realised that the degree would not earn him a more decent job, he enrolled himself into library science and completed degree, post graduation and a Ph D from Osmania University. He also completed B. Ed and passed the National Eligibility Test twice in Political Science and State Level Eligibility Test in library sciences. As the daily wage job hardly met his demands back at home, he continues his vocation of repairing two-wheelers till date. Against all odds, he still nurtures the dream of securing a permanent job in Kakatiya University.
