Saleem dazzles

HYDERABAD: Saleem scored a double hat-trick to fashion Nizam King Koti Club's emphatic 10-2 win against Ashraful Madaris in the MCH annual seven-a-side football tournament at Red Hills Grounds here. Habib, Faisal, Kadeer and Mohammad Balqair were the other scorers.

For the loser, Afsar and Pasha Ahmed struck once each. In another match, Abbas Union got a walkover against Farhat Nagar.

Easy for VPCA

VPCA scored a facile 60-run win against MGMHS in the Santa Cup cricket tournament for sub-juniors organised by Vijaya Paul Cricket Academy here.

The scores: U-11: VPCA 200 for four in 30 overs (Nitesh 45, Vishal Jude 45, G.S. Varun 40) bt MGMHS 140 (Vivek 43).

Neeraj PS 153 for eight (Jayanth Reddy 33, Anurag three for 12) lost to DCA 154 for eight (Tanmay 58, Ramakrishna 31, Ronak three for 21).

St. John's 210 for four (R. Rayudu 76, Chaitanya 38) bt GSCC 77.

U-15: VPCA 133 for seven (Sharath Raj 51, Shiva Varmani three for 26) lost to DCA 134 for four (Nitin 37, Sundeep Goud 40).

Samaritans HS 273 for six (Nimeesh 96, V. Patnaik 60, Obaid three for 41) bt Raymond CA 82.

U-13: St. John's 139 for six (B. Anirudh 56, Jagadish 35, Rayan Koundinya three for 19) bt VPCA 136.

Arshad CA 167 for six bt DCA 140 for five (Devashish 74).

Rohit cracks century

A century by G.V.R. Rohit (146) helped Continental draw the two-day A Division league match against Mahaboobnagar here.

The scores: A-Division (two-day) league: Continental 235 (G.V.R. Rohit 146, Riyaz four for 70, Neel Kamal six for 80) drew with Mahaboobnagar 213 (Madhu Mohan 55, Anil Kumar 70 not out).

B Division league: Vidyut Soudha 140 (Waheed four for 40) lost to Victory 141 for two (Md. Altan Younus 57, M.A. Ahmed 56).

Facile win for Hutch

Hutch recorded an eight-wicket win against Satyam in the First Flight Corporate Cup cricket tournament organised by Arshad Ayub Cricket Academy here.

The scores: Satyam 160 for six (Sanjay Naidu 86) lost to Hutch 163 for two (Shiva 61, Liyaqathullah Khan 53).

GECFS 188 for six (Sher Singh 45, Mushtaq Ahmed 47) bt SBH `A' 174 (Balaji 77).

Dell 158 for eight lost to BOA 159 for four (Manish Tilokani 60 not out).
