British Library plans Science Week

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The British Library will conduct a `Science Week' for children from December 27 to 31.

The programme includes exhibition of books on science, photographs of scientists and quiz competitions and seminars on science.

More than 200 new science books for children will be on display. Oommen V. Oommen, president, Association of British Scholars, will inaugurate the function on Tuesday.

V. Prasannakumar, head, Department of Geology, will lead a session on `natural calamities' on Wednesday at 11.30 a.m. N. Sudhakaran will lead a session on `experiments in science' on Thursday.
