NGO launches career magazine

KANNUR: The Mega Byte Corporation, a society for information technology and a non-governmental organisation, officially launched a monthly English magazine People and Career on Sunday.

Chairman of the Corporation Rajesh Nambiar said the magazine contained all information relating to national and international, sports, education, political, cultural and other events.

``We have already established 600 offices for the magazine in South India and the magazine will hit the stands in February next,'' he said, adding that plans were afoot to start this type of magazine in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Initially, the corporation would be able to market 60,000 copies of the magazine, he added.

The magazine would be released by M.P. Veerendera Kumar, MP.

In connection with the launching of the magazine, the corporation would organise a Mega Byte Utsav-2005, which would be inaugurated by former minister K. Sudhakaran. Eminent sport personalities I.M. Vijayan, P.T. Usha would be honoured on the occasion.
