"Left should work together"

Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR: The Left parties in the country should form a confederation to work together on a common minimum programme, Secretary of the Communist Party of India (ML-Liberation) Dipankar Bhattacharya said here on Sunday.

"If the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India were ready to support the United Progressive Alliance Government that works on a common minimum programme, why cannot they come to join hands with the remaining Left forces to work for the common people," Mr. Bhattacharya asked, while addressing a meeting of the readers of Liberation, the monthly published by his party.
